Musical Theatre Dance Class Description

A fun and lively Musical Theatre Jazz class. We start with a technical warm-up to prepare the body. This includes joint mobilization, plies, tendus, adage, stretching, floor work, and abdominal strengthening. We then move across the floor with kicks, turns, and leaps. The final part of the class is dedicated to learning and dancing the combination. This is usually a track from a musical or inspired by musical theatre techniques. All levels are welcome. This is a very safe class for people who would like to extend their dance knowledge in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Beginner’s Ballet Class Description

An open class for people who are interested in starting ballet. Also great for people wanting to improve their technique in a supportive environment. We begin with exercises at the barre to strengthen and warm up the body concentrating on the correct execution and thought behind each exercise. We then move into the centre to work on exercises for balance working towards turning and jumping. We finish class with a slow stretch to refresh the body and mind. I always encourage a fun, no pressure, ‘give it a go’ environment!

Wear clothes that you feel comfortable in and allow you to move freely. You can wear either ballet or jazz shoes.
