Later on she learned and practiced ballet, jazz, contemporary and afro-latin dance. She began performing professionally in an Urban street dance group at only 15. After graduating from High School she left her Island to pursue her passion for dance and music and joins “L’académie internationale de danse” of Paris where she trained and developed her dancing singing and acting skills. Three years later she moved to South of France where she get into “Epsedanse” school to progress in her dance training and focus on Jazz techniques. When she decided to move to London she kept going with her professional training at Danceworks. After taking some Horton classes she had the opportunity to train and perform as a professional dancer with David Blake in his company Blake Arts. She graduated in musical theatre at Associated Studios where she kept training and learning about the theatre industry. Sharing a part of what she learned throughout her artistic journey has always been one of her dream that finally came true.

Class Description

Jazz dance is a social dance style that emerged at the turn of the 20th century when African American dancers began blending traditional African steps with European styles of movement.  The African dances that built the foundation of Jazz were often explosive, grounded, sensuous, and rhythmic.

Morgan’s class begin with a thorough warm-up, then lead the class in a series of stretching exercises and isolation movements. She will teach you a variety of steps; however she wants you to try to make each step your own. In a jazz class, dancers are encouraged to add their own personality to each step . The class will be energetic so be ready to move and have fun. We will practice suspensions, contractions and focus on Jazz steps techniques including basic turns, chaines, piques, pirouettes, chassé , pas de bourré, ball change, jumps, quick steps etc.
