Membership Options & Fees at Danceworks London

+ HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLASS FOR ME?

We offer a very wide variety of dance and fitness styles and levels at Danceworks and you may not be sure what to try. When choosing a class consider these points:

  1. What are my goals (fitness, learn new skills, fun)?
  2. What level is appropriate for me?
  3. What days and times work into my schedule?

Then consult the Classes timetable LINK for class descriptions, levels and current class times. We are very happy to provide assistance. You can always ask one of our helpful and knowledgeable Reception staff by phone, email [email protected] or in person. You can also book an appointment for a free personal consultation.

You can read more about our classes and teachers on our website.

+ WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR CLASS?

There is no specific dress code. If you’re trying a class for the first time, wear something comfortable and loose fitting you can move freely in. Feel free to ring or call in to ask Danceworks staff if you’re not sure what to wear – or if you have any other questions.

+ ARE THERE CHANGING FACILITIES & LOCKERS?

Outside of Covid measures, we provide toilets, showers with shampoo & shower gel and hairdryers in the dry area. We do not supply towels or lockers. You will need to take your belongings to the studio at the start of your class.

Our classes are predominantly aimed at adults, but minors are welcome in many of the timetabled classes where teachers are willing to take them. However, in the cases where teachers are not DBS checked, a parent/guardian must be present to watch the class or must have emailed their consent to Danceworks in advance. Open classes include adults of all ages. Please check the under 16’s page to see which teachers include minors.

We also have wonderful Baby and Reception Ballet classes from 18 months, and Children’s Ballet and Tap.

+ DO I NEED TAP SHOES TO TRY TAP CLASS?

You can wear trainers or jazz shoes for your first few tap classes to enable you to mark the steps and get a good sense of tapping.  After this we would advise investing in tap shoes. Danceworks members receive discounts at Capezio Covent Garden and other dance wear shops. See all our membership benefits here.

Currently we do not sell any dance shoes, but we have a detailed list of retailers where you can receive a discount. Please ask at Reception. See all our membership benefits here.
