What people say about us

I haven’t done a dance class since the early 90’s so I had no idea what to expect, worried that I might be intimidated by a plethora of lithe dancers in designer dance wear.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. The studio itself was fun, clean and bright, and all the staff welcoming. The class was a great mix of all types of people from all walks of life, the music was great and I had an absolute ball. I’d definitely recommend Danceworks as a fun alternative to getting fit!

If you’ve ever wanted to learn to dance or simply get fit, and archetypal gyms turn you off, give Danceworks a try
Leon C

I’ve only been here once but I will definitely be coming back. This studio was very welcoming and they have a great array of classes to take
Mindi M

I have been a member almost from the beginning and can not recommend Danceworks more. So inspiring and the variety of classes give a chance to anyone at any age to enjoy dancing
Dusanka Narancic

I’ve joined many gym classes in my time and they haven’t been as good as the ones at Danceworks!

Wish I lived in London just so I could go to Danceworks regularly

I was in London for 6 months and I spent a large part of that time taking classes at Danceworks. I started with Hannah’s ballet classes, and added on Stephen Pelton’s contemporary class and Milo Miles’ jazz ballet towards the end, among the other classes I tried. So, thank you to the staff at the reception for always being lovely! I always enjoy the classes I take here, and I love that Danceworks offers student rates – it’s really helped me afford to take more classes than I would have otherwise. Love that the lounge in the basement allows me to stretch before class and meet new people as well. Thank you!

Ballet classes

Lets face it if you can teach a bald dodgy looking 48 year old lorry driver like me to do ballet, you can teach anyone. Three cheers for Hannah, oh and to the friendly welcoming staff of Danceworks as well.

Felt stupid, out of place, ridiculous at first ‘What the hell am I doing at my age’ Now really enjoying ballet, great way to relax and tone up your body.
Yvonne, nurse

Ballet is a great way to exercise, its fun and hard work which is rewarding at the same time. My body shape has changed enormously since I’ve been coming to classes regularly, my legs appear longer and it’s much easier to wear heels all night long out in town.

Contemporary & Jazz classes

Before Danceworks I had never really done any formal dance. Ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern seemed a little alien to me. I love to watch these dance forms, but I thought that it might be something you needed to have started early in life. Last night I took my first contemporary jazz class. The takeaway is that it is an amazing class and Hagit is truly an amazing teacher
Nick Street

For an intermediate/advanced level class the material and teaching methods were spot on. What I loved about the class was how attentive Livio was to us as individuals. The time with him was very valuable and resembled very closely the level of teaching I received at performing arts school, if not better, which I was very impressed about, I feel Livio deserves a large following. I enjoyed the class so much. I hope dancers will find the time between auditions and their jobs to get down here.

Fitness classes

Hugo’s classes have helped me heaps to improve my skills as a fitness instructor: he is my guru!
Sonia L. (member since 2010)

Warning! Hugo’s classes are addictive. He’s so encouraging, the music mixes are great and he makes you smile so much it (almost) makes you forget how hard you’re working.
Alison Mccarthy Lord

It’s impossible to get bored when you’re having so much fun. Hardcore exercise, brilliant music, great people and lots of laughter – what’s not to love?

Street Dance classes

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The awesome Beginners Hip Hop class taught by Brendon Hansford. Went as a COMPLETE beginner, and Brendon’s amazingly positive energy, the challenging choreo and the wonderful group made it so much fun and a class to remember. I’ll definitely be back.
Sandra Olesch

Brendon makes it fun and challenging at the same time. His teaching is very clear and motivating for both total beginners and improvers!

World Dance classes

Solange’s samba class is an invigorating stylish class! There is nothing like it in London! Its addictive and it’s a real fat burner!

The class itself is great. It has the sexy hip swinging of bellydance, with some of the speed and grace of jazz. It makes you feel all Jessica Rabbit curves and sex appeal. I AM WOMAN DAMMIT, LOOK AT THESE HIPS. Anyway, I’m very pleased with myself and can’t recommend a lesson with Charlotte highly enough. I am actually even looking forward to my next dance challenge

Danceworks managed to cater for the age range of our group which was 3 to 70 years old! They provided a fantastic teacher for us, who made the class fun, pitched it at the right level and we also learnt some new moves! All of the staff were helpful on the day and we all had a really great time. I would definitely recommend Danceworks for any group event and the standard classes looked fantastic too. A great experience all round. Thank you Danceworks!
Orli Gorenski – Dad’s 70th Birthday

I arranged a hen do with Danceworks and we had an 80′s themed dance.
I just wanted to say all those involved had a fantastic time – we absolutely loved the dance Livio put together for us. We were a group of all ages and he was very patient and helpful to make sure we could all remember the moves! The girls are already thinking of booking another session just for fun this time. With some classic 80s dance moves, we all felt like we had gone back to our childhood/ 20s.
Thanks for all your help, and the champagne and card were a kind touch which made my sister feel very bridal! Couldn’t have asked for a better hen do. Thank you.
Catherine Lees – Hen ‘do’

Just wanted to say that our session was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Your guys were great and really joined in the spirit and Doni was such a good teacher. Even the stiff old moaning husbands loved it! Thank you so much. It’s a brilliant birthday or hen night!
Sarah Pollard – Friends’ 40th birthday party for 4 couples learning American Smooth

Becky and the girls had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves despite the aches the following morning. It’s great that youngsters have the opportunity to try something like this as it combines fitness and fun, and that can only be a good thing. With all best wishes for your continuing success
Davies – Birthday party for 16/17 year old girls

I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ for organising the class for me and my husband. Denzil was a great teacher and we both had a wonderful time
Irina (Private lesson)

and our teacher was fantastic. Everyone was incredibly complimentary of the dance class! Thank you for all of your assistance in organising the event, it was good to know that that portion of the day was in very capable hands! I will be sure to pass on your name to any of my friends looking to organise similar events.
Louise – Hen Party

I just wanted to write and say a massive thank you for booking Charlotte Desorgher for our Belly dancing lesson. We all had the most fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Best money I have spent in a long long time!!!! All the girls really loved it and Charlotte put every one at ease immediately. I would and will be recommending this to many people and would go so far to say that Belly dancing should be on everyone’s bucket list!!!!
