During the Easter holidays there will be no class on 14th April. There will be a make up class on 19th May.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Improvers Ballet Course is aimed at those who have attended a Beginners Ballet Course, Improvers Course or several Ballet classes in the past and are interested in further improving their placement and posture, building up more strength and flexibility and learning new steps. Each class will consist of barre and center work.

The class will begin with barre exercises which, while warming up the body, this will help you improve posture and develop strength and mobility. The center work will build on the exercises done at the barre and it will take you from simple steps onto more challenging ones including travelling combinations and leaps.

ABOUT JUAN RODRIGUEZ

Juan trained at London Studio Centre where he graduated with distinction performing with Images of Dance. In 1997 joined the Peter Schaufuss Ballet dancing soloist roles and creating the role of The King (Elvis) perform at the Sadler’s wells theatre.

Soon after in the year 2000 joined the English National Ballet where he remained for the next 17 years. During his time with the company Juan danced numerous Ballets and created variety of roles for the company repertoire also guest work with the Royal Ballet, (Manon) Royal Opera House, K Ballet, Tokyo, (Rhapsody, Frederick Ashton), Lincoln Centre New York, Peter Schaufuss Ballet (Midnight Express), London Coliseum. (The king), Denmark Tour.

Juan have teach in Danstylo School of Ballet, Bilbao (summer courses), Central School of Ballet Associates Ballet Tutor, Danceworks, English National Ballet, ENBS, adult Ballet Ryarsh Kent, and London Performance Company, Italia Conti Academy, Guilford School of Acting.

FOOTWEAR & CLOTHING

Please bring along ballet shoes and clothing that you can move freely in. If you do not own a pair of ballet shoes we recommend Capezio in Covent Garden.
