About Lika Berkun

Originally born in Moscow, Russia, Lika moved to the UK with her family aged 6. She started dancing all forms of dance as a hobby until one day she went with her mother to watch a performance of The Moscow City Ballet’s Swan Lake which came to tour in the UK and that was when she fell in love with ballet.

After secondary school Lika went to live in London, studying at the Central School of Ballet, where she studied for 3 years prior to joining a professional company. Lika danced abroad in The Israel Ballet, here having the chance to dance in ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Les Sylphides, and many contemporary works as well as some soloist roles such as Fairy from Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Seven Dwarves and David Nixon’s Beauty and the Beast. Lika then came home to the UK where she also performed with the English National Ballet.
