Érico was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and did most of his training there before moving to London to train at London Studio Centre on a scholarship.

He joined the Royal Ballet Upper School for one year before joining The Royal Ballet in 2004. He was promoted to First Artist in 2010.

He danced the in the company’s entire repertoire bot at The Royal Opera House and around the world. He was in the original cast of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland, The Winter’s Tale, Frankenstein and Flight Pattern. His roles include Catalabutte, Friar Laurence, Wilfred, Steward, Pedro Gautreau amongst many others.

He choreographed his first ballet for the company’s Draft Works in 2005 and has been choreographing ever since.

He has created full length ballets for London Children’s Ballet ( The Secret Garden, Nanny McPhee) and Athens Children’s Ballet ( Persephone, Hansel&Gretel) as well as shorter pieces for Constela Ballet ( Renard), New English Ballet Theatre ( Toca, Wessendonk Lieder and Unbridled Blood) and London Studio Centre’s Images ( Suite in Colour).

In the summer of 2017 he produced a whole evening of his own work performed by dancers of The Royal Ballet at the Pjazza Teatru Real in Malta. For this performance British composer Oliver Davis wrote a new score for a a piece that was presented alongside Davis’ Anno.

He has taught the Royal Ballet company dancers, the London Children’s Ballet Ballet for Boys programme as well as other schools in London, Greece, Malta, Morocco, Brazil and Holland.

Erico is also Artistic Director of Ballet Arts Project, a London based non profit organization offering ballet training and Masterclasses

Class Description

Having just completed a long career with The Royal Ballet, where he worked closely with some of the best teachers and dancers in the world, Erico hopes to pass on all his experience and passion for dance.

Focusing on coordination, musicality and healthy placement the classes will benefit dancers of all levels who wish to further their understanding of classical ballet technique.

Erico hopes to create a positive environment and help dancers gain the confidence to reach their full potential.
