Edgars is a talented dancer and instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience in Latvia, Ireland, and London. Starting his dance career in Latvia, he quickly became a successful Street Dancer and Choreographer for music videos and DJ shows. Later on, Edgars also went to train in Ballroom and Latin styles, Salsa and Zouk.
He is currently involved in various dance projects around the city, including stage shows. Above all, Edgars believes that dance should be fun and open to all. He encourages dancers to bring in their own style. “It is important to me to see smiles on my students’ faces”. That is why he constantly uses his sense of humour to help his students to feel relaxed and experience every dance routine with a positive attitude.


This course is for absolute beginners regardless of their level of fitness, previous dance experience or lack of it. You may have regretted giving up as a child or are just looking to improve your posture, muscle flexibility and all-round health with one of the most disciplined forms of exercise. Classes will be relaxed and informative providing a sound knowledge of basic techniques. You will learn Latin styles such as Cha cha cha, Rumba and Jive.

What to wear: Anything you feel comfortable in, though for shoes avoid trainers or anything with a grip. If possible wear ballroom, latin, or jazz shoes.

Since 2002, Edgars has taught dance classes at London’s most prestigious Dance Schools inspire hundreds of dance enthusiasts to follow their dreams, challenge their bodies and stimulate their minds through dance. Edgars has nearly twenty years of experience teaching dancers various different styles to include: Ballroom, Latin, Salsa and Bachata. As a professional Dancer and Choreographer, his professional experience has taken him around the world starting in Latvia for various TV shows and dance projects which led to teaching in America, Ireland, Spain and Dominican Republic. He is always asked to perform at The Grosvenor House, The Royal Albert Hall, The Shaw Theatre and An Grianan Theatre (Ireland).
