Art of Burlesque with Eliza DeLite – Level Two (Beginners +)
This course is suitable for those with a little burlesque experience (the Level One course is perfect preparation for this).
In this course, we’ll look at some of the more complex striptease components of burlesque, such as corsetry (if taking this course, you should already have a basic knowledge of glove, stocking, suspenders and bra removal and tassel twirling, all of which are covered in Level One).
This Level Two course aims to give to help you advance your striptease skills through choreographed routines, understanding of music, and begin to think creatively about burlesque as an art form (some sessions will be discussion led with idea sharing).

- Creative thinking for burlesque (act development)By the end of this 10-week course you will have levelled up on your burlesque skillset, learned choreographed several routines and completed a creative assignment (so be prepared to put in a little work outside of class).There will be a course ice breaker social on the evening of Thursday January 13th (details TBC at the first class). This is a great way to get to know your fellow course-mates before we dive in!
KIT LIST – For this course, you will need the following items (they do not need to be expensive, just something to practice in):
- Lingerie that you feel confident and comfortable dancing in.
- A pair of Stockings
- A pair of Hold ups
- Suspender belt
- Evening gloves
- Corset
- Nipple tassels
- A silky robe (long)
- Slip on court shoes that you can comfortably dance in and remove without straps or fastenings.
There will be a private Facebook and Whatsapp support group for all attendees to access resource materials, catch up with fellow students, find out about social events and stay up to date with the week-to-week classes (and what to bring along). Access to these will come into effect from week 1 onwards
Biography
Internationally acclaimed burlesque star, Eliza DeLite has been dazzling audiences across the globe since 2008. From Stockholm to Chicago, Rome to New Orleans and countless bustling cities in between. Eliza has disrobed on some of the worlds most revered burlesque and cabaret stages including New York’s Duane Park and Berlin’s Wintergarten Theatre. Outside of her London residencies in Soho and Mayfair, her repertoire of glittering performances has earned her a place as a firm favourite on the international burlesque circuit, bringing her timeless elegance, glamour, and femme fatale magic to the stage. This Autumn sees her join the cast of touring spectacular “Party Like Gatsby”, which will be hitting stages across Europe and in the UK into 2023. Her classes and workshops have travelled the world, inspiring many a budding burlesque student and have been a fixture with Danceworks since Spring 2021.
