Upon graduating Alice joined English National Ballet where she rose through the ranks to senior soloist. She danced a large and diverse number of roles, most notably creating the role of Alice in Derek Deane’s Alice in Wonderland. Also performing the role of Clara, to critical acclaim, in numerous productions of The Nutcracker.
During her years as a dancer Alice had the great fortune to be coached and mentored by the world renowned teacher and author, Maria Fay. Over the course of many years working with professional dancers around the world, Maria devised her unique floor barre technique. It is this work that Alice now teaches, in conjunction with classical ballet, in both dance companies and vocational schools.
Alice also works extensively in rehabilitation for dancers returning from injury, private mentoring and coaching, master classes and adult ballet.
It is a joy for Alice to share her extreme love for ballet and wealth of experiences with all those, both young and old, who have a desire and passion to dance.

Class Description

Floor Barre

Alice’s floor barre was developed and taught to her by the world renowned ballet teacher, Madame Maria Fay. It is a system based on and complimenting a classical ballet technique. Contrary to other conditioning and workout programmes the floor barre is designed particularly to serve the needs of a dancer. Vital in helping to correct postural faults, shaping and strengthening the physique, enhancing the flexibility of the body as well as aiding and supporting dancer’s’ technique and stamina. It is extremely satisfying for dancers and students, helping raise confidence in their body awareness and ability.

Classical Ballet

Alice’s class is for those dancers with a good understanding and experience of ballet training and vocabulary. It is for those wishing to develop a greater understanding of correct placement and execution of steps alongside the  essential development of performance and musicality through their class work.

Alice wishes her class to be a safe place filled with love and the pure joy found through dancing.
